We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with extensive civil engineering expertise to lead and manage complex infrastructure projects. The role requires strong leadership in delivering heavy civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A key aspect of this position is effective stakeholder engagement, maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will oversee all phases from design and preconstruction through to construction and handover, managing resources, programmes, risk, and commercial performance. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, cost control, and continuous improvement, with a focus on driving project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery from design through to completion, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company procedures
- Produce and manage financial forecasts, cost control, and monthly performance reporting
- Develop and maintain construction programmes and resource plans
- Chair site and stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear communication and accurate record keeping
- Manage and coordinate site investigations, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
- Prepare estimates for additional works and support tendering activities
- Drive health, safety, and environmental compliance, setting high standards of leadership in HSE practices
- Manage quality assurance processes, including Inspection and Test Plans and as-built documentation
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment of project objectives and expectations
- Foster a collaborative team environment and support staff development
