Morson are currently recruiting for a General Operator (FA) to join a leading manufacturing team in Bolton, supporting increased workload within their Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) function. This is an opportunity to join a well-established defence organisation working within a structured, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out assembly and manufacturing tasks on PCB / circuit card assemblies, ensuring all work is completed to strict quality, safety, and procedural standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing detailed electronic assembly work
  • Working from technical drawings, layouts, and instructions
  • Adhering to IPC and internal quality standards
  • Supporting production flow and manufacturing efficiency
  • Working to defined timescales and specifications

You may also be required to support additional areas such as:

  • Looming
  • PEC Assembly
  • Plastics
  • Stores / Manufacturing Control

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience with PCB / CCA (Circuit Card Assembly)
  • Background in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions
  • Good manual dexterity for fine assembly work

Desirable:

  • IPC 610 certification
  • Electronics or defence manufacturing experience
  • Plastics manufacturing experience
  • Basic PC literacy

Package

PAYE: £18.46 rising to £19.46
Umbrella: £24.78 rising to £26.12
12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
Full-time, onsite role with standard day shifts
