We are seeking two experienced Shift Electricians to join the engineering team at Tarmac's Linford site on an ongoing contract. This is a hands-on maintenance role within a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of plant and production equipment.

Permanent | 42 hours
Excellent Salary + Bonus + Benefits
Shift Pattern:
- Position 1: Night Shift (18:00pm β 06:00am)
- Position 2: Day Shift (06:00am β 18:00pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and production machinery
- Diagnose faults and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Maintain and replace components including motors, inverter drives, contactors, and control systems
- Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and statutory standards
- Respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance across the site
- Work both independently and as part of the wider engineering team
Requirements:
- Recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with motors, drives, and automation control systems
- 17th Edition BS7671 Wiring Regulations (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills and ability to use maintenance systems
Desirable:
- Experience in heavy industrial, aggregates, or continuous process environments
- PLC experience (Siemens S5 / S7)
- Shift-based maintenance experience
