Based in Stafford

Overview: We are proud to be partnering with a global construction and infrastructure business, delivering complex projects across transport, energy, civil engineering and building sectors worldwide. Key responsibilities:

  • You will have the opportunity to support the full procurement lifecycle for the delivery of the project, ensuring the effective sourcing of goods, materials and subcontract services.
  • Working closely with project and commercial teams, you will play a key role in supplier engagement, contract management and driving best value procurement solutions across the project.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of both strategic and routine procurement packages.
  • The role also includes a functional reporting line to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Director, ensuring full compliance with group procurement policies, procedures and governance at all times.
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement of designated infrastructure packages, ensuring best value, contractual compliance and alignment with project procurement strategies across both major and smaller projects.
  • Manage procurement priorities and subcontract packages from tender through to award, including technical, commercial, contractual and delivery assessments, while ensuring compliance with NEC and other relevant forms of contract.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leading procurement meetings with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and project teams to support successful project delivery.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience within a construction, utilities or civil engineering environment.
  • Experience managing and negotiating NEC forms of contract.
  • Prior experience of running the procurement packages on numerous major projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
