Our client, a leading Investment Management firm, is looking for a hands-on SQL Server Developer to join a highly technical in-house data team. This role is SQL-first and suited to someone who enjoys working day-to-day with complex SQL Server environments - designing, tuning and troubleshooting data solutions in a financial services context. This role is technical and delivery-focused, with minimal management overhead, and is ideal for a developer who enjoys owning SQL-based solutions end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Developing and optimising complex SQL Server solutions (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning)
- Working with large, business-critical datasets
- Supporting and enhancing ETL and batch processes
- Investigating and resolving performance and data issues in production
- Collaborating closely with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust SQL solutions
Proven performance tuning and query optimisation skills. Experience working with ETL processes (e.g. SSIS or similar). Financial services or investment management background.
