Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Engineer to work on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Gosport. This is a contract role, initially for 12 months.

Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Engineer to support the UK "Program/Capability" Programmes to be based in Gosport/Bristol, United Kingdom. Our client operates an engineering matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. One of the Departments is the Product Support Engineering which provides the product supportability infrastructure comprising the following technical areas:

  • Supply Chain Engineering including Limited Logistic Support Analysis
  • Reliability and Maintainability
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
  • Engineering Data Exploitation
  • Obsolescence Management
  • Integrated Logistic Support Engineering
  • Technical Publications

The Supply Chain Engineer (Limited Logistic Support Analysis) will support the Product Support & Supply Chain Engineering Multi Programme Lead in reporting to the our clients Product Support Program/Functional Manager for various Programmes.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing the initial response to Supply chain for immediate Technical Queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft.
  • The review of the LSA following changes to Programme Baselines, advising SC of spares changes.
  • Review of Technical Documentation to assist in the resolution of alternative solutions to long lead time spares orders.
  • Support contingency planning and requirements to take Projects smoothly into Sustainment.
  • Work in close conjunction with the PS (LSA and Tech Pubs) Team to ensure correct changes are made to the Aircraft Documentation Set.
  • Work in close conjunction with the Product Support Engineers team in resolving initial issues.
  • Mentoring Supply Chain Team members in the use of Technical Information.
  • Assist in conducting reviews of Maintenance Task Analysis documentation and Vendor data to undertake a program specific Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
  • Work as directed by the Product Support Technical Lead, through the Programme Product Support Manager.

Essential Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):

  • Previous practical experience of Aviation Mechanical/Avionic systems or Synthetic Training Devices.
  • Supply Chain Support Engineering/Product Support related work experience.
  • Knowledge or Experience of Logistics Support Analysis.
  • Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.

Desired Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):

  • An understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environments.
  • Supply Chain Engineering or Logistics Support Analysis.
  • An ability to read and understand Aircraft Drawing sets.
  • Ability to use the Aircraft Document Set, including Technical Drawings.
  • Authoring of Support Product documentation.
  • Educated to degree level or similar in a relevant Engineering subject is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work with the cross functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities and ways in which suppliers can enhance our offering to our clients.
  • Proven ability to drive first time quality.
  • Experience of working with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications is desirable.
