The Production Lead is responsible for supporting and leading the Production Team by gathering data, training and providing guidance to employees assigned to a work function. The Production Lead will also be responsible for hitting deadlines, output, and customer KPIs. This role is responsible for the start to finish of the process which has variable components.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Lead and manage a repair team consisting of operators and technicians.
- Control and improve the work of the repair team.
- Ensure that production processes and procedures are always in accordance with the requirements.
- Be intuitive in production needs, actively think and come up with suggestions on how to improve the repair process.
- Control quality yields and act on their results.
- Ensure that all processes are always in operation with site ISO standards.
- Ensure that all workplace safety rules are followed.
- Assign employees to individual positions based on skillset.
- Update the skills matrix and identify any weaknesses or training needs.
- Responsible for movement of the trained employees to balance the line.
- Monitor employees' quality of work and attendance.
- Drive the team to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets and output.
- Coordinate and communicate with all departments as needed.
- Understand how to read all manuals and guidelines to answer any questions from the team.
- Review data and analyse all failed and on-hold units – clearly able to identify which devices can be used for spare parts.
- Encourage a positive team morale and support the team with any issues or concerns raised.
- Monitor and report violations applicable to safety, ESD and security rules or regulations.
- Able to work under pressure with multifunctional operations with many different components.
- Communicate the shift's schedule to employees.
- Ensure everyone has the appropriate supplies available, i.e. boxes, tools, etc.
- Complete and submit the weekly timesheets accurately for the agency employees.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Responsible for improving and resolving any production issues.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.
- Excellent Microsoft Word, Email skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, etc.).
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal communication with employees and customers.
