About the Role
We are seeking a talented and adaptable Project Architect, Senior Architect, or Building Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of education-focused projects across the South of England. This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful schemes that improve learning environments and increase accessibility and inclusion within mainstream educational settings. The role offers the chance to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams while taking ownership of projects from early feasibility through to completion on site.
We are looking for candidates who are confident working across multiple live projects simultaneously and who enjoy a hands-on role involving technical delivery, stakeholder coordination, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple small-to-medium sized projects concurrently
- Prepare and coordinate planning, technical, and tender documentation
- Undertake site inspections and contract administration duties
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
- Support delivery programmes to meet key project milestones
- Contribute technical expertise across projects led by other team members where required
Requirements
- Qualified Architect, Architectural Technologist, Building Surveyor, or similar professional background
- Strong project leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing ability
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience preparing planning and tender packages
- Site and contract management experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexible and proactive approach to project delivery
Desirable Experience
- Education sector experience
- SEND / inclusive learning environment experience
- Experience working under JCT traditional procurement contracts
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working arrangement available. Attendance within the Winchester office expected periodically as part of the wider project team collaboration.
