We are recruiting a Senior Operational Buyer to join a high-performing procurement function within a global engineering and manufacturing business operating across complex, regulated industrial markets. This is a hands-on, analytical role suited to a confident self-starter who thrives in complexity, high data volumes, and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day procurement activity across a complex portfolio, ensuring timely PO release, data integrity, and supplier performance.
- Analyse part movement, pricing, and demand to drive optimisation and informed decision-making.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, issue resolution, and support to qualification and evaluation processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with P2P processes, procurement guidelines, and systems.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Strong experience using SAP.
- 5+ years' experience in direct procurement, ideally within aerospace or industrial environments.
- Highly analytical, confident handling large volumes of data, with a lean and improvement-focused mindset.
- Independent, solution-oriented “fixer” able to work with minimal supervision and manage complex commodities (castings/forgings highly desirable).
