Do you have the commercial and procurement expertise to drive supply chain excellence and support innovative naval technology programmes? We are looking for a proactive and commercially focused Procurement Manager to join our Supply Chain team at TKMS ATLAS UK. Reporting to the Procurement Team Lead, this role has become available as part of our continued business growth and ongoing investment in delivering world-class maritime defence capability. The Supply Chain team plays a vital role in ensuring continuity of supply, managing supplier performance and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering and technology programmes.

As Procurement Manager, you will contribute directly to business performance by developing strategic supplier relationships, mitigating procurement risks and delivering value across the supply chain. You will play a key role in managing procurement activity across a range of projects and categories, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity to influence procurement strategy, support operational delivery and contribute to the long-term success of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading procurement activities across allocated projects, including contract drafting, negotiation, implementation and supplier management.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes, including the development of Category Strategies.
  • Delivering a high-quality procurement service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing innovative procurement strategies that support operational and commercial objectives.
  • Managing supplier relationships to improve quality, delivery, cost, performance and social value outcomes.
  • Identifying and mitigating procurement and supply chain risks.
  • Supporting high-value capital procurement activities.
  • Liaising with stakeholders across the business to understand long-term requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate procurement standards.
  • Supporting the ongoing development and maturity of the TKMS ATLAS UK supply chain.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • CIPS qualification, or willingness to work towards CIPS accreditation.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing procurement contracts.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies that incorporate environmental and social value considerations.
  • Supplier relationship and performance management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience analysing procurement data to support strategic decision making.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams.
