We are partnering with a UK-wide independent regulator to appoint an experienced Head of Business Operations on an initial 6-month contract. This is a senior leadership role within a high-profile, fast-paced and politically sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic and operational delivery of core regulatory functions, including the registration and oversight of regulated entities.
- Oversee the receipt, publication and assurance of statutory financial submissions, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks.
- Make evidence-based, risk-informed decisions on complex regulatory matters.
- Own and manage quality management systems and regulated data, ensuring best practice in governance and information handling.
- Contribute to wider organisational leadership, working closely with other senior stakeholders on regulatory strategy and delivery.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across government, regulated organisations and key stakeholders.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing operational team, driving performance and continuous improvement.

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a regulatory, public sector or governance-focused environment.
