My client is seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter in the Melksham area to undertake electrical fitting activities on high voltage switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment. This role involves installation of control and protection equipment, earthing systems, and outdoor equipment such as bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear. You will be responsible for the maintenance and fault finding of both low and high voltage equipment, ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and technical standards. The successful candidate must be able to interpret and work from high voltage documentation and hold a valid NG Persons certification, which is essential for this role. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on critical electrical infrastructure within a dynamic environment. This is a contract role until June 2025 and is paying up to £300 per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical fitting activities on high voltage switchgear, transformers, and related equipment
- Install control and protection equipment and earthing systems
- Install outdoor electrical equipment including bus bars, disconnectors, and switchgear
- Conduct maintenance and fault finding on low and high voltage electrical systems
- Interpret and work from high voltage technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with site teams to deliver quality and timely electrical services
