Our client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing company that designs and produces high performance electric heating and cable systems used across industrial, energy and advanced engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced TIG Production Welder to join their team in Deeside. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong TIG welding experience, especially with stainless steel and thin wall material, who wants a long term role within a modern and supportive production environment.
Location: Deeside, UK
Hours: 07.30 to 16.00, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience + overtime fee (when required)
Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG welding on stainless steel and copper nickel components
- Weld thin wall materials to a high standard in various positions and joint configurations
- Complete weld tests in accordance with company welding procedure specifications
- Perform self inspection including liquid penetrant checks
- Use power tools and welding equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards and follow all safety procedures
- Support general production tasks when welding work is not required
- Participate in company provided first aid training
Requirements
- Proven TIG welding experience, ideally 2 years or more
- Ability to weld thin wall stainless steel (1.5 mm or below)
- Experience with pipe welding or dairy style piping is a strong advantage
- Understanding of welding gases, filler materials and heat control
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and high quality workmanship
- Reliable, safety focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with helium leak detection is desirable but not required
