An established MEP contractor is looking to hire a diligent mechanical pre-contracts manager to win new work from existing clients. The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project win, incentivised by a generous bonus structure.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and managing through to pricing and project win
- Monitoring and reviewing Mechanical & Electrical tender documentation from sub-contractor businesses
- Ensuring all tenders are robust and as competitive as possible
- Liaising directly with clients and sub-contractors to ensure tender stages run efficiently
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, helping coordinate tenders with internal teams
- Developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Designing/sizing mechanical equipment ready for tender
- Maintaining company standards in terms of quality
- Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a building services environment
- Hold a related qualification in the building services/HVAC/M&E industry
- Ability to multi-task and review multiple project tenders
- Knowledge of mechanical systems design & install
- Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and Sub Contractor
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external
- Experience working with sub-contractors and managing accordingly to ensure maximum results
