The predicted salary is between 60 - 60 £ per hour.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Cost Engineer who is talented and enthusiastic to strengthen established capability and support the continued growth of the business. You will be required to work on a fully billable MOD contract based in Warrington on a hybrid basis (2 days a week). This is a contract role inside IR35 at £60ph. Must have SC clearance, must be sole UK national per contract requirements.

Only apply if you are a British Citizen and passport holder, and not have worked outside the UK during the past 5 years. Candidates can start with BPSS security clearance whilst higher level clearance is being undertaken.

We're looking for a cost engineer who brings a positive, proactive, can do attitude to their work. You'll thrive here if you enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and helping project teams make informed decisions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • You will support Project Managers in delivering projects on time and within budget through rigorous attention to detail and the application of Amentum's project controls processes and best practice techniques.
  • Core Project Controls:
    • Applying project controls processes and systems
    • Project set up, close out and reconciliations
    • Ensuring accurate cost allocation
    • Cost forecasting and financial analysis
    • Monitoring revenue and gross margin
    • Ensuring corporate systems accurately reflect project status
    • Monitoring aged debt and supporting recovery
    • Preparing client specific monthly reports
    • Producing internal reporting for Operational Project Reviews
    • Contributing to and/or attending monthly project meetings
    • Supporting bids and proposals
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Supporting Project/Programme Managers with:
      • Earned value analysis
      • Risk and opportunity management
      • Programme and resource monitoring
      • Preparing change control and early warning notices
      • Maintaining quality documentation
      • Monitoring key performance indicators
