Our Water team is tackling some of the UK's most technically challenging projects and AMP8 programmes. We are renowned for our expertise in delivering these complex schemes and collaborate closely with some of the country's most prominent and well-known water companies and contractors.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer supporting our teams across Frameworks in the UK covering Wastewater & Clean water projects both non-infra and infrastructure.
Role accountabilities:
- Take a lead role on civil design and/or packages of work
- Excellent communication skills
- Liaise with other disciplines and coordinate designs with team members and supply chain
- Liaison with client, the supply chain and other project stakeholders
- Preparation of high-quality design drawings and associated other Construction-Ready documentation
- Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables
- Work in accordance with our Business Management processes and procedures
- Assist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability outcomes
- Promote a culture of innovation and fostering continuous improvement
- Develop hands-on experience of commercial, programme and financial matters
- Mentor and support the development of less experienced members of staff
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degree
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IWO
- Strong technical design experience on water projects
- Good working knowledge and understanding of Water Industry Clients and Contractors
- Good self-motivation, influencing and people management skills
- Knowledge and experience of BIM led design and digital tools such as REVIT / Civils 3D
- Good working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications
