Morson Edge are currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior Interior Designer for their London studio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and technically driven design team delivering large-scale, high-profile projects across the defence, energy and public sector sectors. Initially joining on a 12-month maternity cover contract, this role is viewed as a long-term strategic hire due to a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, with genuine potential for extension or permanent transition.

We are looking to speak with experienced Senior Interior Designers who can lead and deliver technically complex projects while managing client relationships and supporting multidisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will work on major programmes requiring high levels of technical coordination, sustainability awareness and stakeholder engagement, within a studio focused on progressive and regenerative design approaches. This role would suit someone confident managing projects, presenting to clients and delivering high-quality technical interior design solutions within large project environments.

You will support the delivery of large-scale interior design projects from concept through to technical delivery, ensuring quality, coordination and compliance across all stages. The role offers the opportunity to work within an innovative and collaborative team embracing progressive technologies, AI-driven workflows and sustainable design methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the delivery of complex interior design projects
  • Produce and coordinate technical design packages and detailed documentation
  • Manage client relationships and attend presentations and stakeholder meetings
  • Collaborate closely with architects, consultants and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Support sustainable and low-carbon design approaches, including circular economy principles
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme, quality and technical standards
  • Contribute to design presentations, material selection and technical coordination
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Senior Interior Designer within large-scale project environments
  • Strong technical delivery and coordination skills
  • Excellent client-facing, presentation and communication abilities
  • Experience working on technically complex projects
  • Proficiency in Revit and Enscape
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design and low-carbon fit-out principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • British citizen due to security clearance requirements
Desirable
  • Experience within defence, energy or public sector projects
  • Knowledge of security-cleared project environments
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign
  • Experience working on large infrastructure or government-related projects
