We're looking for a Database Manager to join a mission-critical programme based onsite in Chippenham.

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance, configuration and performance of Oracle databases within a secure operational environment.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and availability of critical systems, carrying out database administration, implementing approved changes, supporting configuration management activities and responding to system issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Oracle database maintenance and update activities.

Implement database changes through established change management processes.

Release new databases into live environments.

Maintain database change control documentation.

Carry out routine backup, archiving and housekeeping activities.

Diagnose and resolve database and system failures.

Support software, system and database configuration management.

Skills & Experience

We're interested in candidates with

1-2+ years' experience in Oracle database administration or database/system support.

Experience working within mission-critical, defence, aerospace or similarly regulated environments.

Knowledge of Oracle database administration.

Experience supporting Linux environments, particularly RHEL and/or Solaris.

Windows Server administration experience (2012/2022) is beneficial.

Active SC Clearance (essential).

British nationality (essential).
