Job Description Morson Edge are working with a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy to recruit Building Surveyors to carry out residential property surveys across Salisbury and Dorset. \n This is a site-based opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor or property professional with strong knowledge of building fabric, typical defects and practical repair methods. You will be responsible for inspecting residential properties, documenting defects and producing clear survey information to support estate strategies, capital planning and statutory compliance. The Opportunity \n As a Building Surveyor, you will carry out inspections and condition surveys of residential properties across the Salisbury and Dorset areas. \n You will assess the condition of properties, identify defects and document your findings using photographs, measurements and clear remedial notes. \n The role will also involve maintaining accurate survey data and asset registers, as well as undertaking Domestic Energy Assessments (EPCs) . \n You will be working across occupied properties and live sites, so an organised, professional and safety-conscious approach is essential. Key Responsibilities \n \n Carry out site inspections and condition surveys of residential properties. \n Identify and document building defects. \n Undertake Domestic Energy Assessments and EPCs. \n Maintain accurate survey data and asset registers. \n Support capital planning and statutory compliance tracking. \n Interpret drawings and existing building information. \n Apply knowledge of building fabric, typical defects and practical repair methods. \n Produce clear and concise survey reports. \n Essential Skills & Experience \n \n Domestic Energy Assessor qualification. \n Previous experience carrying out building or property condition surveys. \n Good knowledge of building fabric and typical defects. \n Strong report writing skills. \n Building Surveying degree or equivalent qualification is desirable. \n Pass a DBS check . \n Residential properties across the local area. \n £85 per completed survey. \n 6-month contract. \n Residential surveying work across Salisbury and Dorset. \n Experience supporting estate strategies, capital planning and statutory compliance. \n \n If you're a Building Surveyor with residential surveying and Domestic Energy Assessment experience and are based in Salisbury or Dorset, we'd be keen to hear from you. \
