Morson Edge are looking for a Loading Shovel Driver in Chawston, Bedfordshire, to work on a mobile mixing plant (Aggregates / Concrete), supporting major highway projects in the region, offering long term work.
The role will involve working around a mobile mixing plant (Readymix), operating a Loading Shovel on site, to move and load materials into various bins, hoppers and crushers, ensuring consistent supply of material, including concrete.
Successful candidates will also help to clean the mixer, digging out under machines and cleaning belts, whilst ensuring machinery is maintained, stockpiles are managed, ensuring the safe operation of machinery on site. You will also liaise with taking deliveries and operating a Battery Operated Breaker for short periods of time.
Previous experience working on mobile mixing plants or RMX plants would be advantageous.
Applicable candidates ideally will have:
- Previous experience working in a similar environment, such as on a concrete / aggregates mixing plant.
- A wealth of experience operating Loading Shovel in a similar environment.
- A valid CPCS / NPORS Card for Wheeled Loading Shovel.
- Fit For Work / Safety Critical medical.
- Highways Passport (Highly preferred but can be supplied for the right person).
- Highways Common Induction (Highly preferred but can be supplied for the right person).
- No HAVS restrictions (Allowing short term operation of Battery Operated Breaker on site).
- A valid MP Connect Card (Preferred but can be supplied for the right person).
- An understanding of health and safety regulations within construction aggregates.
Strong communication skills, being punctual, reliable and a team player.
