Mechanical Design Engineer
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on innovative clean technology projects from concept through to manufacture? Want to play a key role in developing industry-leading wastewater treatment solutions?
is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team, supporting the design and development of advanced wastewater treatment systems and products.
What youll be doing
Developing mechanical designs for new products and treatment systems.
Producing 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Designing equipment and systems from P&IDs and process requirements.
Performing engineering calculations and component selection.
Creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Supporting prototype development, testing and product improvement activities.
Collaborating with Process, R&D, Manufacturing and Project teams.
Supporting installation, commissioning and technical problem-solving where required.
Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and safety requirements.
What were looking for
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Proven experience in mechanical design engineering.
Experience developing and bringing new products to market.
Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills (Autodesk preferred).
Experience producing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Desirable
Water, wastewater, process or chemical industry experience.
Experience with P&IDs and process plant design.
Knowledge of HAZOPs, risk assessments and design reviews.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
Understanding of UKCA/CE compliance requirements.
