Job Description
Responsible for the examination, maintenance, repair, and fault finding of Class 701 Units, ensuring the trains are safe, reliable, and available for service. Duties include carrying out planned and corrective maintenance in accordance with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMIs), completing maintenance documentation, diagnosing basic technical faults, and producing investigation reports where required. The role requires a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with depot procedures. Additional responsibilities include operating depot equipment, supporting quality and performance targets, identifying process improvements, and coaching colleagues in best practice.
Shift Pattern
4 on 4 off. Days and Nights. 7-7.

Β£25.60 PAYE / Β£33.36 Umbrella
Qualifications / Skills
Rolling stock maintenance experience (essential)
Proven history of completing safety-critical work
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
Experience using maintenance management systems for work recording and asset management
Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a safety-critical environment
Ability to accurately complete maintenance records and technical reports
