Job Purpose
The successful candidate will spend time initially within the sales administration team to learn the products and customer service systems. After which you will transition into the role of Junior Sales Executive. Junior Sales Executives are a key contact, supporting our customers and sales team. With time in the role, there is opportunity for career progression and management of additional areas.
Initially, administration duties will include:
- Taking orders over the phone and through email, and accurately inputting these orders into a SAP system (to create order acknowledgements, invoices and delivery notes).
- Providing customer service on any inbound or outbound calls/emails.
- Working with the sales team to resolve customer queries.
- Updating customer orders.
- Liaising with the warehouse team to pick and arrange packing of goods for shipment.
- Sending samples to customers.
- General office administration (filing, answering calls).
The role transitions into Junior Sales Executive with the below duties:
- Grow existing business and identify new opportunities in defined areas. You will play a key role in driving sales and expanding our customer base.
- The sales person is expected to actively pursue potential leads and build strong, lasting relationships with customers. Applicants must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Plan and organise visits to new and existing customers.
- Maintain accurate sales records.
- Collaborate with sales colleagues to identify new product opportunities.
- Attend international trade shows, expenses paid.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Reporting to sales managers.
The role requires a minimum of three years' experience in a customer service/sales environment. Experience of SAP is advantageous. Valid passport required for potential abroad travel.
