Location: Remote, with travel to London when required

Salary: £550 per day inside scope

Duration: 6 month initial contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Transformation Manager to join a global organisation undergoing significant growth and digital transformation. This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Finance and Technology, responsible for supporting the development, governance, and optimisation of a global eCommerce payments platform. You will work closely with international finance teams, technology specialists, external suppliers, and senior stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall customer and business experience.

This role is ideally suited to a finance professional with strong transformation experience, a passion for technology, and a detailed understanding of the financial processes that underpin large-scale eCommerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Transformation & Change
    • Lead finance-focused transformation initiatives across a global eCommerce platform
    • Act as the bridge between Finance, Technology, and Operational teams
    • Define and implement improved processes, controls, and governance frameworks
    • Support the rollout of new eCommerce services and capabilities across multiple international business units
  • Platform Governance & Operations
    • Oversee the administration and governance of global payment platform accounts
    • Ensure robust procedures are in place for payment processing, reconciliations, refunds, chargebacks, and payouts
    • Support finance teams with account configuration, banking arrangements, and compliance requirements
    • Manage relationships with payment providers and external suppliers
  • Commercial & Process Improvement
    • Analyse transaction costs, supplier fees, and payment processes to identify efficiencies
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and payment operations
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and market developments within the eCommerce payments landscape
    • Recommend enhancements that improve customer experience, operational effectiveness, and financial control
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with globally distributed finance teams, legal teams, technology functions, and external vendors
    • Provide guidance and support on eCommerce finance processes and best practice
    • Build strong relationships across multiple regions and cultures
    • Influence senior stakeholders and support strategic decision making

Your Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience within finance transformation, finance systems, or change management roles
  • Strong understanding of the finance processes supporting global eCommerce operations
  • Experience working between finance and technology teams to deliver process improvements and system enhancements
  • Knowledge of platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, Magento, Stripe, Vertex, or similar
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways, reconciliation processes, refunds, chargebacks, and international payment flows
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience within large, complex, global organisations
