Regional Engineer Location: Castle Donington (covering the Midlands & Gloucestershire region) Salary: £50,000 + Car Allowance Job Type: Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday Regional Engineer - Infrastructure & Environmental Frameworks We are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor for a Regional Engineer to support the delivery of reactive maintenance and planned project works across a portfolio of long-term environmental and infrastructure framework contracts throughout the Midlands and Gloucestershire region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor, General Foreman, Electrical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Operative looking to take the next step in their career and move into a regional leadership role. Working closely with operational teams and clients, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing maintenance and project activities across multiple sites, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. This is a predominantly non-working supervisory position, combining operational management, site inspections, workforce planning and client liaison. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate reactive maintenance and project works across multiple sites. Carry out site inspections and assess upcoming works requirements. Produce work plans, risk assessments and site briefings. Determine labour, plant, material and subcontractor requirements. Arrange specialist access solutions, scaffolding and external contractors where required. Prepare quotations and pricing for maintenance and project works. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams. Monitor programme performance, quality standards and health & safety compliance. Support the successful delivery of long-term framework contracts within the water, environmental and infrastructure sectors. Provide technical and operational support to site teams across the region. Requirements Essential SSSTS or SMSTS certification. Previous experience supervising site-based teams within infrastructure, utilities, maintenance or civil engineering environments. Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements. Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable Experience delivering works under Environment Agency or similar framework contracts. Experience working with the Canal & River Trust. Electrical or Mechanical trade background. Experience pricing works and preparing quotations. Knowledge of reactive maintenance, asset maintenance or environmental infrastructure projects.
