My client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer/Plumber to join their team based in Reading on a 3-month contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering and plumbing tasks, ensuring systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to a high standard.
PPMs, reactive works and maintenance etc. Experience in a commercial/corporate office background is essential.
This role requires practical experience in mechanical and plumbing disciplines within a commercial/corporate background, with the ability to work efficiently within a team or independently.
The position offers competitive hourly rates of £35 per hour umbrella or £25.61 per hour PAYE payment, including holiday pay.
Candidates should be adaptable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship throughout the contract duration.
Key Responsibilities
Proven experience as a multi-skilled mechanical/plumber technician or a similar position.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, including HVAC, water supply, drainage, and related components.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in mechanical and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and materials necessary for maintenance and repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently troubleshoot complex issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to adhere to them.
Relevant certifications or trade qualifications in plumbing, mechanical, or related fields preferred.
