A leading defence organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Bid Lead to support new business activity and deliver industrial transfer and offload programmes within a complex engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce competitive and compliant manufacturing bids for industrial transfer work packages.
  • Deliver industrial transfer projects, ensuring performance to time, cost and quality, with clear progress reporting and issue resolution.
  • Lead the manufacturing offload process, working with manufacturing and procurement teams to identify suppliers and develop business cases.
  • Implement manufacturing strategy and industrial policy aligned to new business pipelines and technology roadmaps.
  • Support new business capture activity and maintain strong internal and supplier stakeholder relationships.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and functional excellence initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven project management experience delivering fixed-cost programmes within a matrix organisation.
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering or production environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proactive, decisive and commercially aware, with the ability to balance strategic and day-to-day delivery.
