We are supporting a major defence and aerospace programme seeking an experienced IAM Product / Delivery Lead to help drive secure Identity & Access Management capability across complex, highly regulated environments. This role sits within a large-scale digital and security transformation environment supporting sensitive UK defence-related programmes, with a strong focus on secure access, identity governance, compliance and modern authentication services.
You should be comfortable taking ownership of IAM requirements, roadmap priorities, stakeholder engagement and delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities:- Define and manage the IAM product vision, roadmap and delivery priorities
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate IAM needs into clear requirements
- Manage and prioritise the IAM backlog, including epics, features and user stories
- Support delivery of secure, robust IAM solutions across the product lifecycle
- Act as the key link between business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams and security/compliance functions
- Ensure IAM delivery aligns with internal policies, regulatory standards and secure-by-design principles
- Support incident escalation, product performance, testing and continuous improvement
- Help shape IAM-related solutions and manage dependencies with wider digital/security programmes
- Strong experience delivering IT, security or IAM-related change
- Good understanding of IAM concepts, technologies and protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, SSO and MFA
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, SailPoint, Saviynt or CyberArk
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills
- Ability to work with architects and delivery teams to shape secure, workable solutions
- Understanding of Agile delivery methods, backlog management or product-style delivery
- Experience in defence, aerospace, MOD, government or other secure/regulated environments
- Strong awareness of security, compliance, risk and identity governance
- Certified Scrum Product Owner or similar Agile qualification
- CISSP or relevant cyber/security certification
- Background in cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity or identity governance
- Experience supporting MOD, Defence Digital, UK aerospace or secure government programmes
