We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join a major UK infrastructure programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, supporting significant investment projects and partnering with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic financial support, challenging decision‑making constructively, and driving robust financial planning and performance management across large-scale programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior business leaders to provide strategic financial insight and challenge
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning activities
- Support investment decisions through financial analysis and business case development
- Provide financial oversight across major capital and infrastructure programmes
- Drive performance reporting and financial governance processes
- Influence stakeholders at senior and executive level to support effective decision‑making
- Work closely with programme and project teams to ensure financial objectives are achieved
- Support continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
Requirements
- Significant Finance Business Partnering experience within complex organisations
- Strong track record of leading budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams and influencing decision‑making
- Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure, construction, engineering or transformation programmes
- Ability to challenge constructively and provide commercial financial insight
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience within highly regulated environments
- Public sector, defence, nuclear or infrastructure sector experience
- Business case development and investment appraisal expertise
- Experience working alongside Project Controls functions
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion
