The Railway Interface and Integration Manager will co-ordinate access requirements across all Capital Projects and Programmes and convert them into tangible access requests. As an access expert, the Railway Interface and Integration Manager will offer railway interface advice to project management teams and will assist with strategy to maximise and optimise working time.
Knowledge
- A good working knowledge of London Underground's structure, operations and key priorities.
- An expert knowledge of LU Access and protection arrangements.
- Knowledge of RailSys booking system.
- Awareness of safety issues in an operational railway environment.
- Awareness of the key aspects of coordination of access to the Railway and an appreciation of the impacts that may result from poor planning of works in this critical environment.
- An understanding of basic installation and construction methods to be implemented in the requested access.
- An awareness of risks associated with working on the railway and the means to reduce and mitigate these through access arrangements.
Experience
- Experience in a railway management or project management environment.
- Experience of using RailSys access booking system.
- Experience of working collaboratively and influencing key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to provide expert knowledge when defining access requirements.
- Extensive exposure to the definition of simple and complex access arrangements.
- Demonstrated understanding of access factors that may impact the successful delivery of planned works.
