Morson are recruiting a Project Management Business Partner for an initial contract supporting major capital investment and building projects within a highly regulated engineering environment. The team delivers complex infrastructure and construction projects from early feasibility through to final handover.
This position suits experienced Project Management professionals with strong stakeholder management skills, a background in CAPEX or construction projects, and the ability to operate across multi-functional teams in a structured governance environment.
About the Role:
- PAYE: £29.18 per hour
- Umbrella: £39.04 per hour
- Location: Broughton (Onsite)
You will work alongside a Project Lead and cross-functional teams to deliver building and construction projects, ensuring governance, reporting, and project controls are adhered to throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Lead in delivering CAPEX / building projects from inception through to completion
- Set up and maintain project governance in line with internal standards
- Develop, manage, and monitor project delivery plans
- Lead stakeholder management and maintain strong working relationships
- Support budget management, cost tracking, and financial reporting
- Establish and manage project risk and opportunity frameworks, including mitigation plans
- Prepare and support major milestone reviews
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and external design teams
- Produce clear reporting, documentation, and technical summaries
- Support the selection and application of appropriate project management tools and methods
Requirements:
- Strong Project Management experience (minimum 3–5 years)
- Background in construction, building, or capital investment projects
- Proven experience managing stakeholders across multiple levels
- Experience in risk, budget, scheduling, and contract management
- Ability to work within structured governance frameworks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage
- Proficient in tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, or similar
- Experience supporting multi-functional project teams
Desirable:
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or engineering projects
- Familiarity with structured project management standards
- Previous experience in complex or regulated environments
