Bridgwater (Somerset) Construction site and satellite office based x3 days per week AND x2 days per week remote working (from home)Status: CONTRACT - INSIDE IR35Duration: Approved until December 2027Reports to: Manufacture LeadMorson Edge are working with a major player in the Energy Sector who have a current contract requirement for a Project Engineer to join their established Piping Manufacturing team . This is a construction site and satellite office based position in Bridgwater, Somerset - 3 days office attendance per week with 2 days working from home/remotely. OverviewYou will be supporting the full lifecycle of piping design, from early basic design at Handover 1 (HO1) through to final handover for commissioning at Handover 4 (HO4).Principal Responsibilities: Providing Engineering (Technical) support to the Package Project Management team, including attendance at weekly / monthly PM meetings.
Collating and maintaining support tracker to record support book releases and design holds at Handover 2 (HO2), through to manufacturing completion at Handover 3 (HO3).Managing change management process relating to design updates post HO2, pre-HO3.Manage the Technical Query (TQ) process for the package, including chairing regular TQ meetings with stakeholders and facilitating responses from responsible departments, as required.
Ensure CEMAR is maintained to reflect TQ progress and resolutions.
Manage Engineering input to HO3 requirements.
Provide technical input into HO1-HO2 'Constructability' issues, as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Typically degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, construction, or other related field.
Demonstrate expertise in relevant technical discipline within the pipework manufacturing / construction / management environment. Track record of working on projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment. Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a fast paced, schedule driven environment. Experience of successfully engaging, managing and influencing groups of stakeholders and facilitating issues resolution.
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
Strong numerical and analytical skills. Knowledge of CDM RegulationsWorking level knowledge/use of the following (or similar equivalent) software tools: Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)3D PDMS or NavisworksContract Management software (eg. CEMAR, Teamcenter)
