Salary: Β£26,000 - 52,000 per year
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of the MoD Unit Maintenance Management System (UMMS) and Trilogy tool sets
- Knowledge of Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) principles
- Knowledge of the complete engineering lifecycle and how support activities align with it, with experience in a number of lifecycle phases
- Strong awareness of Product Safety and SHE
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders
- Background as a submarine nuclear operator or maintainer is essential
- Ability to analyse complex problems
- Understanding of JSP 935, DefStan 00-055, IEC 61508 and DLF SSE GP.2.11 is desirable
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for delivering and assuring Maintenance Derivation and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) outputs
- Apply relevant Ministry of Defence, industry and corporate standards covering Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities
- Interface with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers on ILS management activities
- Guide Support and Product Engineering Managers to support effective delivery of ILS outputs for the customer support solution
- Analyse software products, including commercial off-the-shelf, bespoke and modified commercial off-the-shelf products, at system and equipment levels, and derive system-level software support strategies using company processes
- Contribute to system-level software support case reports
- Review external supplier engineering deliverables relating to software
- Review software source documentation, interpret technical information and recommend how to support software products through life, including through system-level software support case reports
- Provide software support subject matter expertise to the wider ILS community and support mapping between software analysis outputs and other ILS stakeholders support outputs
- Produce management and process documentation relevant to software
