Principal Building Surveyor β Up to Β£71,000 salary - Facility Maintenance β Multiple Offices based in the North and Midlands The Role: Principal Building Surveyor Location: Roles available across multiple offices across the North and Midlands, UK Salary: Up to Β£71,000 Contract Type: Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Summary As a Principal Building Surveyor, you will serve as a technical leader within the business, providing expert advice, guidance, and supervision to technical teams, operational managers, clients, and suppliers. You will lead the delivery of complex building surveying commissions, managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing the commercial performance of projects within your portfolio. Your role will involve client engagement, business development, and work-winning activities, with a focus on projects including MOD and MOJ condition surveying. The position requires minimal site visits, with most work conducted from the office or home. Key responsibilities include leading the preparation and review of technical reports, specifications, drawings, and schedules of work managing project budgets and commercial outcomes acting as Contract Administrator overseeing contract delivery and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, planning requirements, and CDM 2015 regulations. You will also act as Principal Designer when required, manage project risks, and provide mentoring and professional development support to junior colleagues.
