Carrying out scheduled, avionic maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft as detailed in the relevant scheduled maintenance. Inspections on Typhoon aircraft, installs, repairs, maintains, services, overhauls, modification embodiment and testing of aircraft components and systems, fault diagnosis and recovery of aircraft systems. Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work they carry out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component.
Works within the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders. Completes SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation. Ensures his authorisations are current for the tasks in hand. Highlights to his immediate supervisor areas of his or others inexperience or training requirements needed to complete his or their daily tasks. Complies with the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications. Completes all mandated training, ensuring training validity dates remain current. Completes any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by line management.
Successful completion of National Secondary Education AND qualified to Level 2 Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. At least 3 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme. Completion of all relevant tasks/projects in Technician Logbook. Good interpersonal communication.
The successful candidate, Saudi or expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA. SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role.
