The Opportunity
As a Document Controller, you will join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining robust document control processes across a portfolio of complex projects. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will ensure documentation is managed, distributed, controlled, and archived in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous document control experience in a project-driven environment who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing project documentation from initiation through to project completion
- Maintaining document registers and ensuring accurate document tracking
- Controlling incoming and outgoing project correspondence
- Ensuring documentation complies with company and client requirements
- Setting up project folder structures and document management systems
- Coordinating document distribution to internal and external stakeholders
- Managing document archiving, retention, and disposal processes
- Supporting project governance and status meetings, including minute taking when required
- Identifying non-conforming documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing document control support across Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing functions as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous Document Control experience within a project environment
- Strong understanding of document management processes and quality control
- Experience maintaining document registers and project records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software packages
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently when required
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
- Understanding of Project Management principles
- Internal auditing experience
- Experience working within engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, defence, or regulated environments
