We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead the planning function for a major construction programme valued at circa £200m, delivered under an NEC contract. The role will oversee heavy construction and civil engineering activities across multiple industrial work fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, beginning with enabling works ahead of the main programme.
The successful candidate will define and implement planning strategies, develop detailed and robust programmes with clear logic and breakdown structures, and produce phasing diagrams, logistics plans, and resource/plant histograms. They will establish certainty on project progress, improve predictability through robust project controls, and use data-driven insights to support decision-making and reduce project risk.
Clear communication of planning and performance to stakeholders, project teams, customers, and supply chain partners is essential, with consideration of commercial and contractual implications. The Senior Planner will foster collaboration across internal and external teams and contribute to innovation and pre-contract planning initiatives.
