Join a leading planning team as a Planning Engineer working on water projects based in Stockport. This role involves developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project programmes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of water infrastructure schemes. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders, to produce compliant and realistic schedules from tender stage through to project completion.

The role requires proactive identification of risks and opportunities, leading collaborative planning workshops, and ensuring alignment with contract requirements and client expectations. You will contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and support the delivery of high-quality programmes that drive project success.

Skills
  • Extensive experience in project planning within the water sector
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of contract requirements and tender documentation interpretation
  • Ability to develop and maintain compliant, realistic project programmes
  • Experience leading collaborative planning workshops and engaging multidisciplinary teams
  • Critical path analysis and earned value management
  • Risk identification, mitigation, and opportunity management within programmes
