General Operatives – Sandilands Tunnel Works We are currently seeking General Operatives to support upcoming works at Sandilands Tunnel during a major blockade period. We are looking for reliable and experienced General Operatives to assist with a range of civil engineering, tunnel and general site activities. Project Details Location: Sandilands Tunnel Blockade period: 07:00 on 24 October 2026 to 23:59 on 4 November 2026 Working pattern: 24/7 throughout the blockade Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts Shift times: 07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00 Requirement: General Operatives Certification: Valid Pink Ticket required for the tram network Scope of Works The successful candidates will be involved in a variety of site activities, including: Waterproofing works UTX construction Installation of GRP walkways Guttering and downpipe installation General civils works Vegetation clearance Assisting with brickwork repairs and pointing Material movement and site clearance General labouring and supporting skilled trades Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area Requirements Previous experience as a General Operative on construction, civil engineering, rail or tram projects Valid Pink Ticket for the tram network Good understanding of site health and safety requirements Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days and nights Ability to work throughout the full blockade period Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team JBRP1_UKTJ
