About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer with proven expertise in Oracle HCM or Oracle Financials to join a leading Local Government organisation on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting, customising, and enhancing Oracle applications to meet evolving business requirements within the public sector. You will have ideally recent Local Government experience and working in an ERP setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and maintain Oracle solutions within HCM or Financials modules.
- Collaborate with functional teams to design and implement scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical support for system integrations, data migrations, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with local government standards, data governance, and security policies.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle HCM and/or Oracle Financials development.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, BI Publisher, Oracle Forms/Reports, and related technologies.
- Background working within Local Government or wider Public Sector settings (essential).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud or E-Business Suite environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of payroll, HR, or finance processes within local government.
- Exposure to integration tools such as OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, or middleware platforms.
