Morson are supporting an independent business providing social care and support services in the midlands. We are looking for a qualified Finance Business Partner to join the local finance team based near Dudley.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead a local finance team and act as the main finance contact for budget holders across the Trust, ensuring strong financial control, clear insight, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

  • Manage the carer payments team and ensure accurate, timely payments to carers and providers.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budget monitoring reports.
  • Lead annual budget setting, business planning, and medium-term financial planning.
  • Provide clear variance analysis and financial advice to senior managers.
  • Monitor and support delivery of cost savings plans.
  • Complete grant claims and work with partners to maximise funding.
  • Liaise with auditors, regulators, government departments, and external partners.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support service development.
  • Coordinate financial activity with Sandwell Council.
  • Support development and use of Oracle Financials and reporting tools.
  • Develop and apply Financial Regulations and Procedures.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
  • Contribute to financial training across the Trust.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or CIPFA.
  • Strong Excel skills and solid financial modelling experience.
  • Experience managing or supervising staff.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and non-finance managers.
