Morson are supporting a pioneering advanced engineering organisation as they continue to expand their specialist Performance & Analysis capability, contributing to one of the UK's most exciting low-carbon energy programmes. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in containment analysis and fault studies, working at the forefront of reactor safety, modelling, and performance within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment.
The Role
Working within the specialist Performance & Analysis function, you will take a senior role in the development and application of thermal-hydraulic models used to assess containment behaviour and safety system performance under fault conditions. You will technically lead small teams, delivering complex analysis that supports plant design optimisation, safety case development, and regulatory substantiation. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across design, safety, and testing to ensure robust, validated, and high-quality analytical outputs.

- Containment thermal-hydraulic modelling & fault studies
- Reactor fault & transient analysis
- Verification, Validation & Uncertainty Quantification (VVUQ)
- Safety case development & substantiation
- Python-based analysis tool development
- Linux & High-Performance Computing (HPC)
- Experimental benchmarking & test validation
- Advanced reactor & SMR technologies
We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have:
- Strong background in thermal hydraulics, fluid systems, or process analysis
- Experience delivering analysis within safety-critical environments
- Proven capability in verification & validation (V&V / VVUQ)
- Experience producing technical reports and contributing to safety cases
- Experience developing or applying engineering analysis models and methods
- Python programming for engineering or scientific applications
- Experience leading technical work or small teams and delivering to time, cost, and quality
Experience with the below would be highly advantageous:
- RELAP
- FLOMASTER
- VIPRE
- CTF
- GOTHIC
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership, desirable

Salary between £50,000 – £66,500
