HR Advisor Location: York Salary: Β£35,000 - Β£37,000
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive HR Advisor to join the People Team of a successful and growing multi-site retail business. This varied, hands-on role offers exposure across the organisation, providing the opportunity to partner with managers, support employee relations matters and help deliver an exceptional colleague experience. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative HR function, youll build strong relationships, provide practical and commercially focused HR advice, and play a key role in driving people initiatives and best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance and probation matters. β’ Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and colleagues. β’ Coach managers to build confidence and capability in handling people issues. β’ Support absence management processes and long-term absence cases. β’ Maintain accurate HR records, systems and employee documentation. β’ Coordinate HR administration and employee lifecycle activities. β’ Support the development and implementation of HR policies and best practice. β’ Assist with management training, employee engagement initiatives and HR projects. β’ Produce HR reports and analyse people data to identify trends and improvements. β’ Drive process improvements through digital tools, automation and AI solutions.
About You:
β’ Previous experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role. β’ Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. β’ Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills. β’ Organised, proactive team player. β’ CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
