Morson are recruiting on behalf of BAE Systems for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their HR team based in Washington. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with business leaders, influence people strategy, and play a key role in supporting a high-performing manufacturing environment. You’ll be the primary HR contact for the Washington site, supporting around 400 employees while working as part of a close-knit HR team. This hybrid role may also require occasional travel to other UK sites.
The Role
- Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Washington site and associated business areas.
- Support the development and delivery of the site's People Strategy and People Plan.
- Provide expert HR advice and coaching to managers and senior leaders on employee relations, performance, organisational change, and people management.
- Align HR initiatives and solutions with business objectives.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence, Shared Services, and third-party providers to deliver effective HR services.
- Provide market and business insights to support workforce planning and organisational development.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain legally compliant and aligned with company standards.
- Champion continuous improvement and support business transformation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree qualified in HR, Business or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ HR Business Partner or generalist HR experience.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into practical HR solutions.
- Previous experience within a unionised environment is essential.
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or project-based organisations would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
