Morson Edge is working with a key organisation within the UK nuclear sector to recruit a Waste Engineer / SMLO for a long-term contract based at Winfrith in Dorset. This role offers the opportunity to support critical site operations within a highly regulated environment, contributing to the safe and compliant delivery of waste management activities across a major decommissioning programme.
The Role
- You will provide technical and operational support to ensure waste management services are delivered in line with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the planning and execution of waste management activities on site
- Providing technical input into waste handling, storage, and disposal processes
- Ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards, procedures, and safety regulations
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Supporting project delivery to agreed scope, time, and quality requirements
- Maintaining awareness of industry developments and applying relevant improvements
