This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building modern, automated network infrastructure and can contribute to delivery work immediately. You'll work closely with architecture, cloud, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, highly available network solutions, balancing short-term delivery with longer-term platform improvement.

- Producing clear technical designs and documentation (HLDs / LLDs)
- Contributing immediately to delivery work with minimal ramp-up
Essential Experience Skills
- Strong enterprise networking engineering background
- Proven experience with enterprise firewalls, ideally Palo Alto, across on-prem and cloud
- Modern data centre networking, including VXLAN / EVPN, VRF segmentation, and multi-site designs
- Complex OSPF and BGP environments

- Automation and NetDevOps capability
- Strong experience designing and integrating hybrid cloud networking
- Comfortable working in large-scale, complex enterprise environments
- Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
- Git and CI/CD exposure
Nice to Have
- Aruba Central / ClearPass
- SD-WAN technologies
- SaaS and cloud-delivered WLAN / Wi-Fi
- Experience modernising legacy network estates
What This Role Is Not
To be clear, this role is not suited to candidates whose background is primarily: Operations-only, monitoring, or BAU support; Incident management without design or build responsibility; Pure SRE roles without deep network engineering expertise; Firewall-only or security-audit-focused positions. This role is for a genuine network/infrastructure engineer who designs, builds, automates, and evolves platforms.
