SAP Basis Specialist
to join a large enterprise environment based in
Filton , supporting the technical operation and performance of a multi-tier SAP landscape across Development, QA and Production. This is a hands-on technical role covering SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA, system upgrades and refreshes, transport/change management, performance tuning and operational support. Key responsibilities
Day-to-day
SAP Basis administration
and technical support
Administering, monitoring and optimising
SAP HANA
environments
Supporting
SAP S/4HANA, Business Suite on HANA and ECC 6.0
Carrying out system refreshes, kernel upgrades, patches and maintenance
Managing transports through
TMS / ChaRM
Incident, problem and service request management
Troubleshooting runtime errors, dumps, database locks and system issues
Root cause analysis and performance tuning across ABAP, Java and database layers
Supporting
RFC, ALE/IDoc, ICF and HTTPS
integrations
Reviewing EWA reports and implementing technical recommendations
Maintaining security configurations, SSL/TLS certificates and SAP Router settings
Working with technical and functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment
What we're looking for
Strong experience in
SAP Basis / NetWeaver administration
Experience with
SAP S/4HANA, Business Suite on HANA and/or ECC 6.0
Strong
SAP HANA 2.0 administration
experience
Experience with
HANA Cockpit, HANA Studio and ST04
Practical experience with
SAP Software Update Manager (SUM)
and system refreshes
SAP upgrades, support packages and patching experience
Knowledge of SAP transport and change management
Experience with ITSM tools such as
ServiceNow, Solution Manager or ChaRM
Strong troubleshooting and performance-analysis skills
Desirable
SAP BTP and Cloud Connector exposure
SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 knowledge
OData service configuration experience
