Minor Construction Project Manager £32.93 - £44.05 Our Aerospace client are seeking a Minor Works Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of small-to-medium projects across their regional estate in Filton and Newport. You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, from initial feasibility through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, for multiple concurrent projects. This role spans diverse operational environments, including commercial office spaces, high-tech industrial facilities, and secure infrastructure. The role is primarily based in Filton with regular travel to Newport, south Wales. It will be an initial 6 month contract, with some possibility of further work on a contract or permanent basis. We can pay a rate of £32.93 Per hour PAYE or £44.05 Per hour Umbrella inside IR35. Key Responsibilities Lead a concurrent portfolio of minor works projects ensuring adherence to CDM 2015 regulations, building control, and internal quality metrics. Partner with internal clients, facility managers, and site operational teams to minimize disruption to live environments. Manage project finances, including scope definition, contractor tendering, cost estimation, budget tracking, change control, and final account settlements. Supervise external consultants enforcing strict performance, safety, and quality control standards. Oversee site safety files, method statements (RAMS), permits to work, and site induction procedures. Essential Requirements NVQ L3/HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Facilities Management. Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or SMSTS/SSSTS certified. Experience managing minor works or building services projects in live industrial environments. Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC). Understanding of building services such as HVAC, electrical distribution, public health and fabric maintenance. Clear verbal and written skills for reporting directly to senior leadership. Valid UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel between Filton, Bristol, and Newport on a weekly basis. Desirable Requirements APM/PMI qualification, MAPM status, or Prince2 Practitioner certification. NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely, or formal CDM Coordinator training. Experience operating within defence, aerospace, or highly secure regulated manufacturing sectors. Active UK SC Clearance.
