Competitive + Excellent Benefits Join a Team Delivering the UK's Most Critical Infrastructure Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to work on complex, technically challenging projects within the nuclear sector? We are looking for a Building Structures Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering innovative solutions across some of the UK's most important infrastructure programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on projects spanning new nuclear build, defence, decommissioning, waste management, Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), and other highly regulated environments. The Role As a Building Structures Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering structural engineering solutions from concept through to detailed design. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, producing high-quality engineering designs while supporting project delivery across a diverse portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: Producing structural engineering designs, calculations and technical reports. Preparing and reviewing drawings and engineering documentation. Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards and client requirements. Working collaboratively with clients, project teams and stakeholders. Supporting junior engineers through technical guidance and mentoring. Contributing to bids and business development activities where required. Occasionally undertaking site visits to support project delivery. About You We're looking for someone who has: Experience in building structures or structural engineering. Strong knowledge of structural design principles, Eurocodes and Building Regulations. Experience using Tekla Structural Designer and/or Tekla Tedds. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams. Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards it). Nuclear Experience (Highly Desirable) Applications are particularly welcomed from engineers with experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries such as defence, rail, energy or major infrastructure. Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Nuclear licensed sites. Nuclear safety culture and quality assurance. Decommissioning and waste management projects.
