Morson are recruiting for a Line Maintenance Mechanic to work at RAF Brize Norton with our prestigious client in support of a fleet of A400M.
Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
This role will require you to work on a 5x5x4 shift pattern. £27.00 per hour Umbrella / £20.18 per hour PAYE. Contract until December 2026.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance
How you will contribute:
- Reporting directly to the Line Support or Line Operations Shift Supervisor you will perform under supervision Line Maintenance activities, routine/scheduled maintenance and fault rectification to the A400M Aircraft, on-time and on quality.
- You will complete allocated tasks in order to maintain On-Time Performance, including but not limited to defect rectification, progression of ADF's, routine/scheduled & planned maintenance and daily tasks under appropriate civilian and military supervision.
- You will ensure that performance of work is in compliance with company technical and administrative procedures including the company Environmental Health and Safety Policy.
- You will ensure that all required husbandry tasks are carried out to ensure appropriate control of the line maintenance environment including but not limited to: specified daily and weekly vehicle checks, restocking of consumable goods, adherence to the tool control system and notification of damaged equipment.
- You will support ongoing Team Atlas improvement and expansion initiatives.
- You will provide support on occasion for workshop and maintenance support activities.
- You will complete all required continuation training and carry out sufficient on-aircraft work to retain Atlas 220 approval (authorisation to work on A400M aircraft).
About you:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship and a minimum of 3 years' experience performing maintenance on operational aircraft and/or an EASA Cat ‘A’ Licence.
- Be able to demonstrate experience maintaining commercial or military transport aircraft.
- Line and Base Maintenance experience desirable.
- Knowledge and experience using aircraft technical manuals and instructions to complete maintenance tasks on aircraft.
- You will have served a recognised engineering and or technical educational background and have experience working within the aviation industry.
